It’s no secret that we’re known for the Satchel - The Ultimate Book Bag. So when we had the opportunity to partner up with the fantastic publisher Vintage, we just knew that we had to restore the Satchel’s traditional purpose. This collaboration is for everyone - the die-hard bookworms, the occasional literary dabblers, and of course the Vintage lovers!

This Vintage-inspired Vermilion is both a trusty wintery companion and a bright summer pop of colour. A real statement piece for the lover of literature, this striking red Batchel will keep your favourite books tucked safely inside.

The Batchel is our invention - a spin on our signature Satchel but with the added convenience of a top handle, allowing it to be carried much like a briefcase. Hence, 'The Batchel' - an innovation that has become a modern British style icon. This 13 inch version is one of our most sought after styles. And the first 50 of our Vintage collaboration Batchels purchased will come with one of 16 Vintage books carefully selected by our founder Julie Deane CBE, as well as a free Cambridge Satchel bookmark!

Our team of makers have made this 100% leather Batchel with care at our workshop in the British Midlands. You'll find our name and logo, as well as the Vintage logo, carefully embossed on the reverse of the bag and on its pale gold hardware - a stamp of authenticity. You can carry your Batchel with its trademark top handle or with a detachable and adjustable shoulder strap, making it ideal for longer journeys or unexpectedly extended evenings out! The bag has handy magnetic closures, a convenient front pocket for items you need to find quickly and comes with its own protective dust bag should you ever want to store it away for a time.
