Welcome To Edinburgh - The Cambridge Satchel Company EU Store

A weekend in Edinburgh is a weekend well spent! Aside from visiting our lovely shop on George Street (of course!), there are countless things to see and do in this historical city. Here’s how we recommend you spend your time there…

Somewhere to Eat: Bonnie & Wild

Bonnie & Wild’s Scottish Marketplace is the main food and drink destination within Edinburgh’s St James Quarter. You can find their beautiful Food Hall on Level Four of the development; enjoy anything from pizzas, to ice cream, to artisanal pastries and coffees!

Recent additions to the marketplace include Radge Chaat from Tony Singh MBE, and three new foodie businesses will soon open, including Scottish Deli Soup & Caboodle!

The marketplace always has various specials on for you to make the most of, including seasonal menu specials. They also have a busy events programme, including a Summer Styling Workshop with Benefit and Dauphines, with some big announcements for the summer to come soon!

In short, there is lots to do in this beautiful, bustling marketplace! A must-visit for anyone and everyone in Edinburgh.

Something to Do: Mercat Tours

Whether History Walks or Ghost Tours, there’s a way for everyone to explore the city. Join Edinburgh's Award-Winning Storytellers and discover parts of the city you never would have seen!

We are big fans in particular of the Mercat Ghost Tours. Explore the city with one of their many options in the safety of the daylight hours and early evening. Get up close to Edinburgh’s haunted past, explore the famous Blair Street Underground Vaults and be immersed and get lost in the stories with a Mercat exclusive audio device!

From the age of dinosaurs to the technology of the future, The National Museum of Scotland’s galleries contain treasures from around the world. Stay tuned for their new exhibition opening on 2 July, Anatomy: A Matter of Death and Life. Explore the history of anatomical study, from artistic explorations by Leonardo da Vinci to the Burke and Hare murders.

This exhibition will look at the social and medical history surrounding the practice of dissection. It will trace the relationship between anatomy, its teaching and cultural context and the bodies that were dissected. Looking at Edinburgh’s role as an international centre for medical study, the exhibition will offer insight into the links between science and crime in the early 19th century.
